Back on February 6th 2016 Beyonce released her new single Formation. The song was written by Beyonce, Khalif Brown, Asheton Hogan,and Michael L. Williams II. The raw and edgy hit single featured the embracing of black culture. Beyonce spoke on creole culture, racism, and police brutality which has been an ongoing issue in the United States. Beyonce has done an amazing job with her style of music, although others may disagree with a lot of what the song stands for, the song is very realistic. It talks about real issues from a personal perspective. The fact that she went there and expressed these issues through such a powerful song is what makes her iconic as an artist.
